You will receive your nine-digit °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø identification number (TUid) via email once you submit your application for admission. Be sure to include your name and TUid on all documents that you mail to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø. .

Supporting Materials

  1. Transcripts: Submit official ³Ü²Ô»å±ð°ù²µ°ù²¹»å³Ü²¹³Ù±ðÌýandÌý²µ°ù²¹»å³Ü²¹³Ù±ðÌý³Ù°ù²¹²Ô²õ³¦°ù¾±±è³Ù²õ from all accredited institutions you have attended and/or from which you earned credit. Official transcripts can be emailed to educate@temple.edu or sent to the Office of Enrollment Management address listed above.
  2. Prerequisite Courses: The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires that students complete prerequisite coursework (see below) before being considered for admission to this program.
  3. Recommendations: Submit two letters of reference that provide insight into your academic competence. References from college or university faculty members are recommended. You may request recommendations through your or send them using the paper to the above mailing address.
  4. Statement of Goals: Write a 500- to 1,000-word statement of purpose outlining your interest in seeking a master's degree with a specific focus on the career to which you aspire; your interests; and your academic and job-related experiences that are relevant to the program.
  5. ¸éé²õ³Ü³¾Ã©: A current professional résumé is required.

Prerequisite Courses

You will need to have taken prerequisite coursework in your concentration area before you are eligible for admission. A prerequisite evaluation is conducted when your application and all official transcripts have been received. 

At least one course (three credit hours) should be taken in each of the following areas.

  • Math (cannot be basic or remedial courses below 1000 level)
  • Science

Additional Requirements for International Students

International applicants should also submit the following materials.

  • An official document that validates completion and conferral of a degree, diploma and/or certificate. While not required, applicants are encouraged to submit transcripts to the for evaluation.
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS exam scores if you are a non-native speaker of English. A minimum score of 79 TOEFL iBT or 6.5 on IELTS is required for admission. .
