Summary of Requirements for the Degree
The degree of Bachelor of Science in Horticulture may be conferred upon a student by recommendation of the faculty and upon the satisfactory completion of a minimum of 124 semester hours of credit with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 overall and in the major.
University Requirements
- ²Ñ´¡°Õ±áÌý0701 (4 s.h.) and/or ·¡±·³ÒÌý0701 (4 s.h.), if required by placement assessment.
- All °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø students must take a minimum of two writing-intensive courses as part of the major. ³¢´¡¸é°äÌý2496 and ±á°¿¸é°ÕÌý4896 are the specific writing-intensive courses required for Horticulture majors.
- Students must complete the requirements of the General Education (GenEd) program (29-30 s.h.)
- Earning a minimum grade of C- in °ä±á·¡²ÑÌý1021 & °ä±á·¡²ÑÌý1023 and °ä±á·¡²ÑÌý1022 & °ä±á·¡²ÑÌý1024 will waive both GenEd Science & Technology (GS) requirements.
- Summer or semester study abroad will satisfy the GenEd Global/World Society (GG) requirement.

No more than one grade below a C- is allowed in any course in either Landscape Architecture or Horticulture.Â
